Christmas in the Park

Christmas in the Park brings a holiday celebration to the Winnie-Stowell Community Park. The festivities include a lighted parade and stage events for all ages.

Classic Golf Tournament

The Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce has a golf tournament each year in May. Be sure to look for information on signing up to join in for a day of golfing at the Chambers County Golf Course in Anahuac, Texas.

Fourth of July Celebration

The community and Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce come together to bring a fireworks celebration in the Winnie-Stowell Community Park during July 4th each year. Families and friends line the streets of Winnie and the park to watch a spectacular show.

Marsh Fest

Marsh Fest takes place at Winnie-Stowell Community Park in Winnie, Texas the first weekend in March. The inaugural event launched in 2018 in honor of Trevor Lee Chesson. Activities at Marsh Fest include the Texas State Open Duck and Goose Calling contests, IBCA sanctioned BBQ and Wild Game Cook-off, food and commercial vendors, live music, children’s activities and local scholarship opportunities.

Texas Rice Festival

The Texas Rice Festival celebrates everything to do with rice and good times! For over 48 years, people have gathered for this event by the thousands to celebrate the rice harvest. Agriculture is the major part of the economy, and rice farms are plentiful. As field after field of rice bows to the harvesting machines each fall, locals and tourist alike crowd the Winnie-Stowell Park to enjoy the week long celebration. The annual event is held the first weekend in October and features non-stop live entertainment, carnival, parades, livestock shows, open horse show, BBQ cookoff, antique car show, rice cooking contest, rice education, pageants, and of course, lots of great food! The Texas Rice Festival provides a country fair atmosphere with entertainment for all ages.
