Welcome to the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce website
We are adding content, and putting every effort into making this website an invaluable resource for the community, business owners, and future businesses.
Chambers County is rapidly growing and the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce works closely with the Commissioners Court to promote a desirable quality of life and economic environment that encourages business growth and opportunity.
Located between the metropolitan areas of Houston, Galveston, and Beaumont/Pt. Arthur, the Winnie area is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. Intersecting State Highways 124, 73, and Interstate 10, make Winnie an ideal location for industrial and business development, with easy access for distribution to many cities. With the Gulf of Mexico only 19 miles away, Winnie has become a destination area for saltwater fishing and “fun in the sun” recreation on the beach.
The Winnie area also offers excellent hunting opportunities, and for the “birders”, High Island, just 18 miles south of Winnie, is one of the top bird viewing areas in the country as migratory birds stop on the island during their winter travels. If antiquing is your hobby, Winnie is now a must-visit destination for the antiquer.
Special thanks to Brenda Wilber and her office staff: Diane Bertrand and Emily Huff. Brenda and staff graciously donate time and bookkeeping tax service to the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce. They provide the Chamber with hours of donated time and service. They are just a phone call away with help and answers to our many software and tax problems and questions. The Chamber can’t thank them enough. Brenda Wilber, CPA is a Chamber Member who continues to sponsor the many Chamber Events. Thank you, Brenda and Staff. Special thanks to the Winnie Women’s Civic Club. As the club disbanded, they took their fund balance and made donations to different organizations. The Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce was the recipient of one of their donations. We are so thankful for the donation and recognition as an organization worthy of the honor. Thanks so much, ladies. We do appreciate it.
