The Winnie Depot Project (Renovation and Painting of the outside of the Historical Building) has begun. Kyle Rayburn began working on the building during the week of April 14, 2014.
The Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce held a Benefit Party in 2013 to raise funds to match The County funds for this project. More pictures of the completed project to be posted soon!

Welcome to the new Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce website.
We are adding content, and putting every effort into making this website an invaluable resource for the community, business owners, and future businesses.
Chambers County is rapidly growing and the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce works closely with the Commissioners Court to promote a desirable quality of life and economic environment that encourages business growth and opportunity.
Located between the metropolitan areas of Houston, Galveston, and Beaumont/Pt. Arthur, the Winnie area is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. Intersecting State Highways 124, 73, and Interstate 10, make Winnie an ideal location for industrial and business development, with easy access for distribution to many cities. With the Gulf of Mexico only 19 miles away, Winnie has become a destination area for saltwater fishing and “fun in the sun” recreation on the beach. The Winnie area also offers excellent hunting opportunities, and for the “birders”, High Island, just 18 miles south of Winnie, is one of the top bird viewing areas in the country as migratory birds stop on the island during their winter travels. If antiquing is your hobby, Winnie is now a must-visit destination for the antiquer.
